 Importing/Exporting From/To China

TIANTAN

HOW OUR GROUP CAN HELP YOU IMPORT/EXPORT FROM/TO CHINA

You do not need any previous experience in importing/exporting; our group will pay attention to the details for you and seek out manufacturers looking for ways to increase their market for the goods they make.  We can assist you by taking you to China.  In this way you can attend trade fairs and begin to see first hand how and what we can do for you.  Our group not only has the desire but also the determination to make sure you will be successful in your import/export endeavor.

We will handle your shipments and create solid contacts and strong business relationships, with reliable suppliers, and in this way you can be well on your way to making a sizeable income, with low overhead.  If you are importing/exporting goods, you will need to find manufacturers or distributors that can handle the quantity of goods at a high enough price for you to profit.  A single retail outlet or two is not enough to make it worth your time.  Once we get your business underway and we have a number of exclusive accounts, you can sit back and leave the management of these accounts to our group

HOW IT WORKS

Although it would seem obvious that all manufacturers would want a worldwide market, it is not easy to enter into a marketplace in which you have not any experience and this is where our group can help you.  Manufacturers of domestic goods seek foreign distribution and foreign manufacturers want a US market. What we will do for you is to go out there and find them, make solid connections, and establish fruitful business relationships with these companies both here in the USA as well as in China.  As your exclusive agent we will seek out the hundreds of manufacturers looking for foreign distribution.  Sporting goods, clocks, electronic games, radios, housedress, garments, tools-anything can be readily imported or exported if there is a consumer demand and you can get the products at the right price and the word “and” here is very important.

HOW TO START

We need to plan our moves, make contacts, and establish good solid honest business relationships.  Foreign consulates located in the United States have commercial attaches who want to establish outlets in the U.S., and they are a good place to start.  Sometimes these consulates can help find indices of their own import/export enterprises.  The Unites States embassies abroad is another source for finding contacts of commercial distribution as well as to help in determining a company's solvency and reputation.  Another way to establish contacts is through the Chambers of Commerce.  We will begin by introducing your company as a company that is interested in the import/export market.  In this way we can find out the names and addresses of firms we feel we may be able to begin a business relation.  Our group will then proceed to find out such things as: what goods do they want to import or export; what products are now imported or exported and how they are distributed; what territory if any do they service; do they have any sale representatives; do they have any branches in other cities; what are the basic details of their operation, history, assets and liabilities; what are the future plans for their growth.

CONSTANT VIGILANCE IN THE MARKET

We will look at trade publications, international newspapers, news magazines, and financial reports to determine who is selling, what they are selling, and to whom they are selling.  To take it a step further, we will read the journals published by the country of choice.  Many of them are available in English.  The marketplace for imported/exported products fluctuates with the value of the dollar in comparison to the value of each country's currency.  A question that always has to be considered in this marketplace is whether or not the consumers can afford to pay, or better yet, will they pay the price for the imported good.  Finding the right market is as important as the actual particulars of making deals and selling goods.  If you want the import/export business in China this is the correct time because there is stillroom for newcomers into this marketplace and our group has many years of experience in doing just that.

GETTING THE GOODS

There are many manufacturers that have limited distribution capabilities and thus are always looking for overseas markets.  As your sole import/export agent in China we will handle the sale, paperwork, money, shipping, customs, and foreign distribution for you with these manufacturers.  Manufacturers have everything to gain from such a relationship and nothing to loose because they will increase their sales and broaden their markets.  Likewise you have everything to gain by establishing your business, with them.  This is the basis for a good business relationship, one that is mutually profitable.

THE LETTER OF CREDIT

A Letter of Credit, L/C, eliminates financial risks for all concerned.  After confirmation of an order, the Buyer pays with an L/C, which is drawn from the Buyer’s bank to a branch of the Seller’s bank.  This L/C confirms that funds are available from the Buyer to cover the cost.  An Irrevocable Letter of Credit, IL/C assures your order will not be cancelled at any time.  Whenever a L/C is confirmed the Buyer is assured delivery and price of goods.  The Buyer’s bank holds the money until the goods have arrived at the Port of Destination and all shipping documents are in order.  The L/C states the terms and conditions that must be satisfied before the Buyer’s bank will release the funds to the Seller’s bank.  Our group will make sure all documents are in order.  Only after a long time and you feel comfortable can other means of payment be arranged however any other way involves some risk and should not be taken unless you truly have a very trusting relationship.  Under normal conditions the L/C may be the best and most secure way to go for all involved.

PROMOTION

Our group has joined many organizations of commerce and foreign trade associations so as to be better prepared when you are ready to expand your presence in this forever-growing international marketplace.

MAKING IT WORK

This is our job as your sole exclusive agent.  Building a profitable business requires dedication and a good knowledge of the business.  Our group will investigate the manufacturers and distributors to be sure products and sales methods are reputable. We will check out the particulars of shipping and dealing with manufacturers.  Each culture works in a specific manner and China is our specialty.
